I changed the firmware to the lastest version (HG530 Fusion Firmware). It brought up the Huawei HG620b Firmware Reset PopUp: This device must be associated before it can connect. Please re-associate it. The device was associated to my Echolife EG6000 (an Echolife EAP198). I checked the status, and this was the only listed network. I know bluetooth is used, as I can't hear the modem when using it, but I want the to connect whether the modem is plugged in or not. Any ideas?
It's been a long time, but I finally upgraded to firmware 18.104.22.168---err 6.10. It seems to fix the wifi on my HG630 Open. It is working tonight. I hope that this works for you. I do not know if it is a firmware mismatch or a driver issue. Please give this a try and let me know what happened!
Wi-Fi only clients will cause Huawei HG630 Open to overheat when performing certain advanced functions (How I know... d'OH!) It is important (especially when working on hot days) to not overload your Huawei HG630 Open router or else you may cause it to be damaged. So if you're on the road, be sure to bring along a portable air conditioner or some other kind of cooling system to keep your router at about 75C/165F so it doesn't burn up. 7211a4ac4a
