Building the London Bridge

Welcome from Crystal London

Forest Road

Hi!
I would like to begin by introducing myself. My name is Dr. Crystal London. I am a 2010 graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. of Business, specialization in Internal Audit (2010), and a B.A. in Spanish (2010).  I received my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisiana Monroe. I have instructed in Foreign Language, Math, English Language Arts (Traditional and Immersion Structures), Music, and Intervention at the elementary and secondary levels. I have also taught and served as a guest lecturer for Beginning and Intermediate Statistics at the doctoral level. I have serviced students in grades PreK-12th in regular, special education, and accelerated programs in both brick and mortar and virtual settings. My administrative experience was attained in both the private and public school sectors.

As a lifelong learner, I have earned some ancillary certifications as a National Geographic Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator and Trainer Certification, and Nearpod Certified Teacher. Additionally, I completed leadership training with the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom Schools. Through my participation in my graduate programs and my personal-professional experience, I have gained the opportunity to be exposed to new and familiar issues of the education field. As I continue, I look forward to refining my understanding of these issues - and to contributing to this knowledge base - as I attempt (in collaboration) to connect these issues to innovative solutions that are relevant to both local and global communities. The London BridgED is an outcome of these intents. I hope you enjoy browsing this site, while building on and learning from community. Take a look around; find a group or resource that interests you. Let's grow together!

On a personal note, my husband, Keith, and I have three wonderful children. I often describe myself as a lifelong learner (and teacher) driven by a mandate that I believe God has placed on my life.  I am grateful for the multiple and varied perspectives provided into the educational realm, through my roles as a student, teacher, administrator, parent, and community member.
