Tessel is a historical mission, and also contains the western Normandy campaign (Operation Epsom, the amphibious assault in June 1944). This map is based on the terrain heightmap of the village of Tessel, in the arrondissement of Caen, about 4km from the center of Caen. The player is in a British Army unit, the 49th Infantry Division, West Riding, under the command of LtCol W.A.H. Hargreaves. The map is set at the beginning of the assault on June 25, 1944, during Operation Epsom.
