Make a diablo directory in a folder named the same as your character's name. It is a folder that holds all your items. There are plenty of tutorial guide in youtube giving step by step instructions, you can even try looking at some of the comments afterwards.
If you're not sure of what to give, try giving some of the worst to get more HP or such, to be safe. Don't worry about giving away your best gear, unless it doesn't fit into your build. A lot of people don't even use any potions, using only the items they crafted. If you don't like something, you can upload your new items to the internet and people can download them and use them. Importing your items just means that you created them as well, but no one else will know that unless you tell them. But having other people downloading your items from the internet is very helpful if you don't have a computer.
If you're afraid you'll crash, once you have the right items, use the A_AutoOffItem command. That will make the game look after the items you give it, making it faster if you want. I'd recommend to use the A_ItemOff command whenever you're done, before leaving, to save having to load the game. You can't get items back with A_LoadItem so you'll have to wait until you come back to this area, then reload to get the items. d2c66b5586
